A few weeks ago I blogged on the power of creating a vision board. And today I am reminding you to do it and use it. The vision board holds images and words that describe the things and outcomes that you desire in your life. It forces you to name what you want--an important first step in having anything. And it offers you a daily reminder tool to maintain the focus, intention and intensity that are critical to bringing something forward.
All this is true, but my purpose in reblogging on this is to emphasis the important of USING, VISITING, FOCUSING ON THE VISION BOARD MULTIPLE TIMES DAILY. THATS THE IT WORKS---THE ONLY WAY IT WORKS.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 111: SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE
I recently read an article proclaiming that Americans are generally sleep deprived. And the consequences are many and not so good. Sleep deprivation affects mood, energy, problem solving abilities, appearance, patience, creativity, immune system, metabolic rate, work and school performance among other more personal aspects of the one's life that I would not list here. These aspects have some influence on the quality of life experiences that one has. Therefore, they have some impact on the degree to which a person is able bring forth and experience the "Good Life".
I can offer from personal experience. The benefits of daily good sleep are awesome, and noticeable, and quick. In January I commitment to get 7-8 hours of sleep consistently EVERY night, for the time since I was in high school. And the Good Life impact has been remarkable. So think about 7 hours a night, if you aren't already committed to it. Good things will happen; guaranteed.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 110: PREPARATION FOR YOUR GOOD LIFE
When I sat to blog today, the activity of "Preparation" came to mind, probably because today my parents and I had a high-stakes business meeting that we really wanted to go well. It turns out that the meeting was very successful from our point of view. Over the course of the evening, I dissected the days leading up to the meeting as well as the meeting itself and realized that the act of preparation accounted for a big chunk of the success we claimed.
Preparation is a powerful activity in bringing about your Good Life. First of all commitment to Preparation means that you at least have a vision or a desired outcome in mind to towards which you are working. This vision or desired outcome is an absolutely critical, initial step in creating the good life, that many people miss.
Secondly, preparation is the essential activity of getting things ready. It is of incalculable value. R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 109: BE NICE
Today I AM blogging about a particular "good life" quality--a very basic one that has an amazing power to attractive more good to your life. You learned about this quality in kindergarten. It is the quality of "BEING NICE".
As basic a quality as it is, BEING NICE is often undervalued and overlooked.
You should be nice because being nice is the right thing to do; it's the right way to treat another person. It demonstrates a recognition of the shared humanity between people. And if this alone isn't motivation enough, there are other self-benefitting reasons to be nice to other. The biggest among these is that the act of being nice is a high vibration act that attracts and generates other similarly vibrating events and outcomes. That is to say, "nice" seeks, attracts and creates its equivalent. And its equivalent is all the good of your "good life".

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 108: A HEALING ATTITUDE
Our attitude and state of mind and expectation, greatly affect our physical wellness and our ability to heal. There many thoughtful studies that support this point that can be googled and read. I will share with you one example I learned today.
I have an a great friend, Linda, who is committed to living "here" good life. She lives by intention and she's aware of her self-excellence.
She's been twice diagnosed with aggressive cancers and all three times, she's beat it despite some heavy odds. Today she learned that all's clear from the 3rd scare. What a great victory! Linda had excellent doctors and medical professionals around her, but perhaps the pivotal factor was her positive attitude and state mind.
She consistently holds a belief that all things are possible including her complete healing. She used her mind to hold affirmative images of her as healthy, whole and healed. She focused her attention on other examples of men and women who have demonstrated the potential to overcome terminal illness through good medical care, a positive attitude and an expectation of healing.
Here's to Linda and all the overcomers who truly demonstrate for us the miraculous healing powers that the Creator has given each us a standard equipment that is available to us to us if needed!!

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 107: DENY FEAR
FEAR IS A USELESS EMOTION ON THE PATH TO YOUR GOOD LIFE. And yet, it is a common, even prevalent, emotion for many, if not most, of us.
You would be hard pressed to list any positive attributes of fear. But the list of negatives associated with fear could literally number the hundreds. To name a few: fear thwarts constructive, creative thinking, fear paralyzes, fear hinders problem solving, fear creates procrastination, fear distorts reality, fear generates more of the same, fear attracts other similarly negative qualities and outcomes. And the list of negatives goes on and on.
Fear is conditioned within us over a long period of time and therefore generally can't be eliminated all at once. So what's a seeker of the Good Life to do? You can minimize fear simply by noticing it when it shows up and consciously choosing to remember it serves no constructive or useful purpose and can only block your good. Deny fear and affirm its opposite: courage, bravery, confidence, good outcomes etc.
In this way, and over time, you reduce the power of fear in your life and eliminate a major road block to your good life!

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 105: DWELL IN THE NOW MOMENT
I once read that 75% or more of the average person's thoughts are focused in the past or in the future-- everywhere but in the present moment. And that's a shame since life is NOW. The past is gone never to return. The future is unseen and may never even come.
For sure, being more frequently aware and conscious of the NOW moment is an important key to living a fulfilled life. Why? For two principle reasons:
1. NOW is where is the good of life exists. NOW is all there is really.
and
2. The quality of your thoughts and actions in this NOW moment dictate the quality of the upcoming NOW moments you will experience as the future.

Have you ever sat still in the quiet and listened to your breath?
Have you ever taken a moment to tune closely into the flow of life-giving air in and out of your body?
If you haven't, you should. This is a sacred, transforming and powerful activity that will aid you on the path to your Good Life.
When you tune into your breathing some brilliant thing happens: you tune out of the world, its worries and its stresses. Your mind ceases its obsessive thinking where fear, doubt and all manner of limitation are bred. And you connect to the essence and power of life. There you are rested, rejuvenated, re-energized and otherwise equipped to move successfully through your day.
This is a Good Life technique to practice at least once daily. The benefits are many!!

ANGER is a real and powerful emotion. It is normal and we all experience it. Having anger is not the issue. But what we DO with it is! Here's a Good Life tip that that can bring good from anger:
First recognize anger when it shows up. Be aware of it. Watch it. Then consciously choose to channel the anger into a constructive activity that can benefit from the powerful energy boost that accompanies anger. Again, the idea is to not let the anger control you. Instead you identify, observe, control and channel it to the good.

When you see or read about someone who has done,or is doing, something you or others consider to be amazing, awesome, extraordinary or miraculous, what do you think? What feelings do you have? Do you ever ask yourself what purpose is there in your exposure to them? Most people probably don't raise this question. But it's worth asking and I have an answer that I hope you will inspire you: People who do amazing, awesome, extraordinary or miraculous things are nothing more than MODELS OF POSSIBILITY sent by Life to demonstrate to you, me and all humanity the phenomenal type of things we are inherently equipped to be, do and have.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 100: WHERE HAVE I BEEN???
So, if you're one of the many regular or periodic readers, you no doubt noticed that I havent blogged since last Thursday. I really don't know why. I thought daily about blogging. In fact, I even wrote down themes on most of the days. Somehow I just never sat down to do the blog entries.
Like many folks, I periodically let the ego lure me into a state of feeling there's "not enough time"; a very tricky and counterproductive state of mind. This state of mind is a false appearance--of course there's enough time to do whatever it is that we choose, and prioritize enough, to do.
Oddly and without fail though, I find that, the "not enough time" state of mind is a convincing and self-fulfilling prophecy. When I am in it, all of a sudden, things start to slip; things don't get done--suddenly I've missed Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday blog entries.
But as in every life circumstance experience, there's something of value in this: it's the awareness that I can see what I am doing and can choose at any moment in time to get back on track--that is, I can reconnect my intent with my will, my commitment and my action. And voila: I BLOG AGAIN.
Yep sometimes we need disconnection to realize our built-in power to connect at will! No fretting, no guilt, no regret, no drama; no long looking back--just a recognition of what "is" and a decision to reconnect. Powerful!!!
