R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 58: POINT OF FOCUS
Look at your the experiences you are having today. Like them or not, they are the product of your focus, participation.
Focus with intent on "what you want". Give no focus, time or energy to "what you don't want" in your life. If you focus on it-good or bad; desired or not- it (or something like it) will likely show up in your life experience later.
Sure there are caveats and exceptions; but by and large this is an unchanging law of life.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 57: YOUR THOUGHTS ARE THINGS
Your thoughts on which you place the majority of your attention, are a preview of the quality of experiences and outcome you can expect to have in your life.
So starting today, take control your thoughts and stay your mind on that which you desire to have in your "good life". Think on "the good" and watch it evolve.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 55: Re commitment
R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 55: Re commitment
Over the last few weeks, a few of your have "let me have it"-- questioning my resolve and commitment to do what I set out to do back in November: to blog daily with a goal of providing guidance and insight on "living the good life".
I committed with enthusiasm to blog on your true nature as unique individuals inherently equipped for to live fulfilled lives and to provide some insights on how you can create and live your "good life".
So fessing-up and acknowledging that I got distracted some days during the holidays and into the new year.
BUT THERE'S A POWERFUL LESSON IN THIS FOR ALL OF US: The seeker of the "good life" is a transformer, always looking the guAranteed glimmer of good that existing in all circumstances; I am talking about a spark of good that can ignite a fire storm of greatness. So, from my transformer state of mind, I look and I find a few good things in my slacking off:
1. First, I learned that the skipped days were noticed, which means somebody, besides me, is reading and depending on the blog regularly.
2. I found that I actually missed doing the blog; that doing it daily is a powerful awareness builder for ME in my own personal journey to live my own "good life".
3. I am reminded that slacking off is just that: slacking off---not giving up. In the same way that we can (and will) be distracted along our journeys, we can reestablish the rhythm in a flash, if we choose.
4. Finally, there's indeed something powerful about inviting other positive supportive people to be the watchers and to hold you accountable to the commitments you make in bringing about and living your "good life".
Glad to be in the flow again. Thanks BarryJ

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 53: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life"-Step 9 : EXPECT
The final step in our series is, Step 9 which I believe is to truly EXPECT that your desire or “something better” will manifest. Expectation channels your senses and your energies and your activities in support of that which you desire. Expectation also puts you in a ready state of mind to see, hear or otherwise identify the "dots" that, when connected, will lead to the desired outcomes that collectively make up your "good life"
Note, I said to expect your desired outcome OR "Something Better". Your want to be open to the very real possibility that the outcome you want may not be divinely intended for you or that Life has something even better in store for you.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 52: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life"-Step 8: ACT BOLDLY
Today's blog continues the series on identifying some of the key steps that will assist you in creating and living your "good life".
Every element of your "good life" requires internal and external work. Steps 1-7 (see previous seven (7) days, were predominantly about the internal work-- the invisible, intangible work of the mind that takes place within. These are the intial formative steps.
Today's step, Step 7, is: ACT BOLDLY. It is about the external work required. Indeed, every vision requires SOME sort of physical action on your part. You must ACT, meaning you must exert the energy and physical effort required to move your vision from mind into a reality in life. And not only must you ACT, but you must act BOLDLY-- with intent, confidence and determination!!!

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 50: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life"-Step 7:Affirm Your Vision Daily
This is the continuation of a multi-day series of blogs on the a few key steps to know and do as you intentionally shape and bring forth your own personal "good life", your dream life that you feel will bring you deep and lastly satifaction and fulfillment. In the past several days we have already discussed 5 steps. There are:
1.Know your true passions
2.Tune into your true life purpose
3.Choose what you want in your "good life"
4.Believe it's possible and Have Faith in God to co-create it
5.Experience your good life in your mind, often.
Today's step, the 6th Step is: Eliminate the threats and toxins to your "good life".
Your vision for your "good life" is precious. Yet it is vulnerable. It is at risk; and you must protect it. How? You must dentify and neutralize, minimize or ieliminate people, places, things, behaviors and anything that will block or challenge the realization of your desires. A simple but challenging concept, thats worth the extreme discipline required!!

And doubt is the ultimate toxin and dis abler to ideas and dreams. The old adage: Believing is Seeing is indeed true.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 47: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life"-Step 3: Choose
Ultimately, in order to CREATE your good life, you must have a VISION of your good life, what it entails and what it comprises; how it looks and what it consists of.
Steps 1 and 2 are essential as preparation for defining the Vision for your "good life". Step 1 ia: Know your True Passions and write them down. Step 2 is: Tune into your true life purpose.
Step 3 is Choose what you want your "good life" to look like. Yes, using your work in Steps 1 and 2 choose what YOU want your life to look like, be like, contain and achieve. You choices collectively form your Vision Map, or some call it a Vision Board, which consists words, declarations, pictures of your good life. Your vision board is your first step in moving your vision from your mind into the world. It is a powerful tool for keeping your desire and intention front and center of your life so that on a daily basis you are mindful of creating the good life for yourself and your world.

Ultimately, in order to CREATE your good life, you must have a VISION of your good life, what it entails and what it comprises; how it looks and what it consists of.
Steps 1 and 2 are essential as preparation for defining the Vision for your "good life". Step 1, on yesterday was: Know your True Passions and write them down.
Step 2 is: Tune into your true life purpose. Each of us has a purpose in this life we have been given. That purpose arches over and beyond our self-centered needs and desires for fulfillment. It is above ourselves and typically has to do with a contribution we are to make to the world; a contribution that benefits others outside ourselves.
Every one's true life purpose is different. It may not be obvious to you, yet. And, even if it is, it may evolve and change over time. But to the extend that you know, or have an inkling what it is, take note and take heed because it should be a factor in the Vision (and vision board, to be explained later) that you will create as you pursue your "good life".

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 45: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life": Know Your Passions
The new year is a time for new beginnings and a good time to focus on how one "begins" the process of creating his or her "good life", that deeply fulfilling, life full of the things, situations, circumstances and outcomes that satisfies a person's unique vision for his or her life. For the next several days, I will write a series of blogs on how one begins- key steps- to creating and living one's "good life".
R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 45: First Steps In Creating Your "Good Life": Know Your Passions
The first step in creating your "good life" is know and take note of your passions. These may become the cornerstones of the "good life" that you will wish to build.
Your passions are the things and situations for which you have a deep, deep desire--usually longstanding desires, possibly dating by to childhood.
Your passions are also the things and situations that move you and give you a profound sense of inner joy and fulfillment.
So today, start making a list (or re-examining your list) of true passions, as they may become elements in your vision of the "good life" you will pursue.
With a good understanding of your unique, deepest passions, you can move to the next step which I will blog on tomorrow: tuning into "your life purpose".

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 44: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
OK folks, I try to keep this short and crisp, but today's blog is going to be a little, ahhhhhh, wordy. But, it's worth the read. So read on:
R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 44: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
This time of year can be overwhelming, to say the least. Now that the holidays have come and gone, we can have a lot to deal with---the expanding in boxes and many to-do's, large and small, that the holidays forced us (or gave us an excuse) to push aside. Not to mention, the list of new year's resolutions, tasks and commitments. It's very easy to get into what I call OPM "overwhelm paralysis mode" where virtually nothing gets done, except the building of stress and a sense of doom deep within. And in those moments your journey to your "good life"--that collection of situations, things, people and circumstances that provides you deep internal and lasting satisfaction--gets paused.
But in TRUTH, OPM is nothing that a shift in perspective cannot trump. Remember, when we started on this trek to consciously bring about our individual "good life", we began by understanding some basis truths about who and what we are.
These truths have not changed, and will not change. Each of use is created by the Creator, by God, by Life itself to be successful and fulfilled. And within each of us is the inherent potential to do and be fulfilled according to our wildest dreams. The "successful" around us, are simply Life's demonstration of what amazing things we can do when we dream, have a vision, believe in it, have faith, stay focused and do the work required bit by bit, day by day, while always holding in mind the imagine of the things, circumstances and outcomes we wish to experience in lives.
So if you are experiencing OPM, or do in the future, remember to shift perspectives, go within and get grounded on how magnificent you are, how amazing life can be and give thanks for these unchanging truths. From this perspective you will be energized to tackle whatever is yours to do as you intentionally pursue your "good life".

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 43: BLESSINGS IN THE CRUMBS!!!
Bringing forth your "good life" begins on the inside, with your perspective. "As within; so without". It's about shifting perspectives and changing what we believe and how we experience life. So, today my blog will be a few perspective-shifting words left in a voice mail for to me today by my amazing 81 year old friend, Virgina E. Hayes Williams, who is truly in the flow of her good life!
R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 43: BLESSINGS IN THE CRUMBS!!!
There are blessings in the crumbs.
The same power that is in the bread is in the crumbs.
The Creator doesn't have to do everything at once.
We have to start appreciating the miracles and blessings we are given bit by bit.

R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 42: HAPPY NEW ....ahhhhh BREATH!!!!
R.I.S.E. WORDS: Day 42: HAPPY NEW ....ahhhhh BREATH!!!
It is a NEW YEAR and the best of Life awaits us all!! Over the course of the 2008 year, the average living person will take approximately 10,541,200 breaths of air;or about 28,880 breaths per day and about 13 per minute.
That means that every 4.62 seconds the average person will take a life-giving, life-sustaining breath of air.
As you celebrate the New Year, 2008, I encourage you to take on a new perspective that will benefit you on the journey to your "good life":
Each breath that you take represents a truly sacred opportunity to be renewed, reborn, rejuvenated, redirected, and recommitted to being and expressing as the best you can be--as the awesome, fulfilled person that God created you to be.
Yes, each breath contains within itself the opportunity for you to think, act, be and live differently, more effectively, more joyfully and more productively than ever before. And from this elevated state of mind, you will be better able to give your best to life, to yourself and to the world in 2008.
So, Happy New Year and Happy New Breath!!
