So my sister is getting today and my whole immediate family is in town and staying with me. Family is very interesting in the context of one's commitment to living the "good life" and the awareness and consciousness that it involves.
Creating your good life will often mean shifting thoughts, beliefs and activities which means that you just might not show up the way family members expect you to be or remember you to be. And the result will likely be positive, supportive from some and negative, critical from others. And depending on your family, it may provide the opportunity to backslide into roles, thoughts, behaviors that are distinctly not the stuff that will bring forth your "good life".
So what do you do? I'll offer you the same advice that I have offered myself this week. Stay deeply anchored in your awareness of who and what you are and stay committed to the mind set and the behavior that resonates with "the good life". At the same time, be non-resistant to those that will challenge and provoke you. Let them be who and what they are. Let their comments and energies move through and past you. Give them no energy, since we now understand that, that which is given energy, only increases!!! Demonstrate the love, the allowing and the non-judgment that you desire from them. And you, and all involved, will truly benefit.
Now R.I.S.E. and REALIZE (your) INHERENT SELF-EXCELLENCE.
